What this site collects

Compass AI is designed to collect the minimum amount of data needed to operate effectively. Here's exactly what we collect and why:

Analytics — PostHog

We use PostHog for behavioral analytics (page views, button clicks, scroll depth, form interactions). PostHog is configured in cookieless mode, which means no tracking cookies are set in your browser. Data is stored in memory only during your session and is not persistent across visits.

We also route PostHog through our own domain (a "reverse proxy") to reduce the impact of ad blockers on our analytics data. No personally identifiable information is sent to PostHog unless you submit a contact form.

Visual analytics — Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity for heatmaps and session recordings. Clarity is configured in cookieless mode. Recordings do not capture form inputs, passwords, or sensitive fields. You can opt out of Clarity at any time via Microsoft's opt-out page.

Contact form — Supabase & Resend

When you submit the contact form, we store your name, email, and message in a Supabase database (PostgreSQL, hosted on Supabase's infrastructure). We also use Resend to send you an auto-reply email and to notify us of your submission.

Your data is used only to respond to your inquiry. We do not sell, share, or use it for any other purpose. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing david@compassai.co.

Attribution data

If you arrive from a marketing link (e.g., a LinkedIn post or an email campaign), we capture URL parameters (UTM source, medium, campaign) to understand which channels drive inquiries. This data is stored in your browser's sessionStorage (not cookies) and is cleared when you close the tab. It is also stored alongside your form submission in Supabase if you submit the form.

GDPR & CCPA

We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not sell personal data. If you are located in the EU or California and wish to exercise your data rights (access, deletion, portability), please email david@compassai.co.
